An Outwood Grange Academies Trust colleague at Acklam has been awarded one of the highest honours for her work with children - we hope you will join with us in congratulating her.
Audrey has stated, “I am absolutely overwhelmed and surprised to have been nominated and awarded the honour of the MBE, it has left me lost for words”.
Audrey has received the MBE for her work at Outwood Academy Acklam and last year Audrey also received a commendation from Cleveland Police for her work.
Audrey stated, “The award of the MBE is not just for me but also for my hard working and dedicated colleagues who I have been fortunate to work with over the past eleven years. Both at Outwood Academy Acklam and the former Acklam based schools. I've only been doing my job!” She added, “I could not commit myself to my work without the support of my very patient husband Tony and all of my family.”
Martyn Oliver, Chief Executive of Outwood Grange Academies Trust stated, “I am delighted that Audrey’s work has been recognised with an MBE. It is absolutely deserved as Audrey is a hugely committed colleague who puts our students first in everything she does”.
Mark Hassack, Associate Executive Principal added “Audrey is a much valued member of staff. She goes above and beyond her duties to keep children safe and to ensure their health and wellbeing. The MBE is well deserved. I am so pleased that Audrey's work has been recognised in such a high-profile way. It is a reflection of Audrey's commitment to children and young people and on behalf of the students and her colleagues, I would like to offer her huge congratulations."
