A local Wakefield primary academy has raised almost £1,000 thanks to kind donations from visitors to its Art Exhibition.

Outwood Primary Academy Ledger Lane, based on Ledger Lane in Outwood, held it’s official OPALL Art Exhibition earlier this month. Visitors were able to view a wide-range of artwork from children across the academy.

In addition, visitors could also take part in a selection of activities and games. 

Rachael Skirrow, Principal at Outwood Primary Academy Ledger Lane, said:

“We were delighted that our Art Exhibition was so well attended and we cannot thank all the visitors and children’s parents for their kindness and generosity.

“Thanks to their donations, we can now look forward to booking visitors, workshops and other learning-enhancing experiences to improve our curriculum for the children.”

In total, the primary academy raised £880.55.
