Outwood Family Supporting #HelloYellow campaign
The Outwood Family is supporting World Mental Health Day, on 10th October, by raising awareness of the issues across its academies.
Academies in the Outwood Family are holding events, discussions and doing its part to raise the awareness of the issue.
The Outwood Family launched its mental wellbeing strategy, which is focussed on ensuring that all students, and staff, are fully supported in 2019.
The strategy aims to create a supportive, non-judgmental culture within the Outwood based on comprehensive education, training and support to raise awareness of the issue of mental wellbeing.
Julie Slater, Chief Executive (Secondary) at Outwood, said:
“At Outwood, we are determined to ensure we fully support our staff and students and that is why we are implementing our new mental wellbeing strategy.
“As part of this, we are delighted to support the Young Minds, #HelloYellow campaign across the Trust to help raise awareness of this important issue in every Outwood academy.”
Across the Outwood family, the academies have embraced the #HelloYellow campaign run by the UK’s leading charity fighting for young people’s mental health, Young Minds.
As part of the #HelloYellow campaign, students and staff will wear yellow on October 9th, showing everyone at their academy that they are not alone with their mental wellbeing.
Outwood has also been supporting the Public Health England, ground-breaking mental health campaign, Every Mind Matters.
