Outwood Family Supporting Teachers Nationwide

The Outwood Family is proud to be supporting schools and teachers across the country through working with the Department for Education (DfE).

Numerous staff members of the Outwood Family have been taking part in a number of Government-backed sector wide campaigns to increase positivity during this unprecedented uncertainty.

Outwood Edtech has also been launched as part of the DfE backed Edtech Demonstrator Programme. The programme has been established to ensure trust’s with educational technology provision are backed to support other schools to mobilise their online offer in response to COVID-19.

Due to the capacity of Outwood and our experience in using and deploying Edtech successfully, we wanted to share our knowledge with other schools for free and be a part of the Edtech Demonstrator Programme.

Below you can find links to the Outwood Family member’s contributions to the different campaigns.

Cara Ackroyd, Associate Executive of the Outwood West region, wrote a blog where she shared the protective measures that had been implemented at Outwood Academy Shafton to keep teaching and non-teaching staff as safe as possible.

Emma Sikora, Director of the Outwood Institute of Education and Teach North Lead, wrote a piece on the benefits of mentoring as part of the Early Career Framework reforms, and how the OIE are supporting wellbeing and how its induction programme had been received by NQTs.
