Outwood Family Launches New Sustained Improvement Plan
The Outwood Family is delighted to announce the Outwood Sustained Improvement Plan 2021-2024.
A key element of the plan is the One Outwood philosophy and the Transformative One Outwood Education model, which seeks to ensure that despite our growth we remain committed to our values and vision and that this commitment is present throughout the Outwood Family.
Below is an exert from the Outwood SiP.
Our One Outwood philosophy lies at the heart of our Sustained Improvement Plan 2021-24. It determines how all aspects of our Trust work collectively to provide the Transformative One Outwood Education we are committed to delivering. We will seek to ensure that we unify and solidify our best practice across the secondary regions / primary cluster and the systems, structures and practices we operate.
Our One Outwood strategy embraces our collective consciousness and our best practice. It encourages our shared innovation and review to ensure Outwood Grange Academies Trust’s future is as stellar as its past because its present is a place of collaborative best practice.
As One Outwood we will aim to retain a focus on clarity within our systems and structures avoiding overly complex and bureaucratic operations. A shared understanding of this aim across the Trust will act to remind us to concentrate our energies upon the elements of great schools and not become distracted from this aim. One Outwood will motivate all academies, from the oldest in the Trust to the newest to ensure they effectively enact our Seven Strand Transformative Leadership model:
Leadership with vision and efficacy
Quality in the classroom
Curriculum design
Monitoring and intervention
Systems and policies
Targeted professional development
Praise culture for staff and students.
A shared One Outwood philosophy will define how we continue to grow in a united manner, so that despite the size and scale of the Trust there is a unity that cannot be broken by geographical distance.
