Outwood Academy Freeston finds itself at the heart of inclusive practice. From the start of the IQM assessor’s visit, the layers of support and encouragement were clear to see across the academy.

Outwood Academy Danum has been awarded the prestigious Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) Centre of Excellence status. The award highlights the school’s leadership in fostering an inclusive, supportive and aspirational environment for students, staff, and the wider community.

Outwood Academy Hindley has been rated ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted in its first inspection since joining Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT). The Mornington Road-based school, formerly Hindley High School, was graded ‘Inadequate’ in 2020 due to factors including quality of education and leadership and management. The school, which joined the Outwood Family of schools in January 2022, was subject to a two-day inspection in December.
