Outwood Family Proudly Supporting National Poetry Day
Today, 1 October 2020, marks National Poetry Day, an annual mass celebration that is held on the first Thursday of October.
The purpose of the day is to celebrate poetry and encourage people to enjoy, discover and share their love of poetry.
We are encouraging all members of the Outwood Family to share their own poems, as well as their favourite poems, with us on social media so we can start conversations about the artform.
The initiative is fronted by Forward Arts Foundation, a registered charity that celebrates excellence in poetry and increase public knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of poetry in all its forms.
