Building expansion at Outwood Academy City Fields will increase student number

Outwood Grange Academies Trust is pleased to be working in partnership with Wakefield Council on the development of a new two storey teaching block at Outwood Academy City Fields, as part of a Basic Need expansion. The new block will provide modern facilities for Science, ICT, Music and general teaching.

The Trust is working proactively with the main contractor, Morgan Sindall, on community engagement activity; including a recent tour of the construction site for staff and students, as well as engaging with students regarding future career opportunities. During the most recent visit to the site, students, staff and governors were invited to sign part of the structural steelwork.

The expansion work is due to be completed in August 2023 and will take the academy’s Published Admission Number from 750 students to 1050.
