OPA Greystone Children Take Part In Ripon Remembrance Service

Children from a Ripon-based primary school have taken part in the city’s Remembrance Sunday Service.

Four children from Outwood Primary Academy Greystone, based on Quarry Moor Lane, represented the school during the service held on Ripon Cathedral. Rocco and Sienna Senior, and Elijah and Harper Johnston, laid a wreath on behalf of the school, to remember those who lost their lives in service.

The note from the school laid with the wreath said:

“All gave some, some gave all.

Though we may not know them all, we owe them all.

OPA Greystone will remember.”

Emma Abbott, Principal at OPA Greystone, said:

“We are so proud of Rocco, Sienna, Elijah and Harper. They represented the school brilliantly at the Remembrance Service and were a real credit.

“At Outwood, we are aware of how important it is to remember those who fought so bravely for us and we encourage the children to do this in ways they see fit.”
