A-Level Results Day for The Outwood Family

The 2022 A-level results day has given the Outwood Family the opportunity to celebrate the success of its students.

This year’s cohort of A-Level students were unable to sit their GCSE exams due to the COVID-19 school closures and lockdown which abruptly ended their time at secondary school in March 2020. Coronavirus then added further disruption to their two year long post-16 education, yet despite this, students have continued to work hard and A-Level results day marked the culmination of their efforts and resilience.

An impressive 26% of Outwood Family Year 13 students achieved an A* or A grade, while 77% of students achieved an A* to C grade.

Julie Slater, Chief Executive Principal Secondary at Outwood, said:

“We are so proud of the resilience our students have shown throughout this challenging time and we want to make sure we praise and enjoy their success with them. The results they have achieved are brilliant and I am so proud of them all.

“Throughout this difficult period of their lives, they continued to dig deep and apply themselves to their studies, and this work ethic and dedication has ensured that they can now go onto their planned destinations; they have great futures ahead of them.

“At Outwood, we believe in putting students first, raising standards and transforming lives and we sincerely believe we are a family. We will miss our wonderful Year 13 students and we wish them every success in the future. We will always be here for them should they ever need any help or guidance and we look forward to hearing about their future successes.”
